Aarti is an incredibly devoted teacher to each and every one of her students. Without her help, I definitely would have achieved 3-4 grades lower, or even failed entirely. She has put in countless hours tutoring me and helping me understand complex topics with simplicity, helping me to know what to do in exam questions (coming from a certified examiner) and guiding me to write essays incredibly well. Even though it has been a couple of years since she had taught me, I can still recall a lot of the information, even though it has nothing to do with my industry. I was truly fortunate to have learned from her and I am deeply grateful for all the help she has given me and anyone who has the incredible opportunity to do so currently has essentially won the golden ticket to succeeding in their exams. You truly are learning from the best of the best.

I highly recommend tutoring from Aarti Lodhia to all students who are in their final year of the A level curriculum. Her coaching was invaluable in allowing me to reach my potential and truly understand some of the most difficult concepts in A level biology. Along with help with my studies, I received extensive training for interviews in universities. The training allowed me to secure a place studying dentistry at the University of Dundee by achieving an A* in Biology. My understanding of the key aspects of biology increased due to her teaching. The classes she gave me were instrumental in my exam success. Aarti has a fantastic manner of handling and explaining methods. She has an outstanding way of delivering the lessons which has shown in the improvement of my overall test scores and mock exam marks. Her methods allowed me to revisit content in a concise and efficient manner helping me master the tougher topics. One of the main areas where I lacked ability was with the structure of my exam answer. When presented with this problem Aarti thoroughly explained the reasoning for the format of the answer while giving me ample of practice with previous exam papers. The teaching allowed me to reach my aim grade of an A* in my final A level exam. My knowledge of the university application system also increased due to her guidance. Her support was present from the beginning allowing me to write an excellent personal statement to receive three interviews from four universities that I had applied. Practice sessions with Aarti allowed me to develop crucial skills and time-efficient techniques to ace my interviews. She also pointed out some of the blunders that I repeated. Many mock interview sessions were conducted each with unique scenarios in place. With enough preparation time and numerous preparation materials from Aarti, I felt confident attending my interviews and felt I showed them the best version of myself.

Nobody turns learning and memorizing heaps of biology into lively and engaging sessions quite like Aarti. She is able to blend her serious teaching with genuine laughter in quite an unparalleled manner amongst those lucky to be in her classroom with her discussion based PowerPoints and engaging activities. You can be certain to walk away from her lessons confident with a solid grounding of what was covered. We need more teachers like her!

Ahmed Soliman - Year 13 Student
Aarti was my biology teacher for the two years I studied biology A-level and she was by far the best science teacher I've had. She knew her content inside and out and was great at getting the facts across to everyone. She was also extremely supportive and understanding, for example, she helped me a lot in preparing for my medicine interviews even giving me multiple mock interviews to give me some experience. Also she was lenient on me when I went through a hard period and my attendance and grades slipped. Aarti has been a great help in preparing for our exams, especially when it came to the 25 marker essays. She would give us fortnightly essays to do and would return them with amazing feedback, and it really helped shoot my marks up from a 9 at the first time to a consistent 18-22.

Amir Tidmint - Year 13 Student
Aarti was by far the best Biology teacher I ever had, she always knows her content for A1 and A2 perfectly and never failed to answer our questions, and would refer us to more resources if we were more curious about a topic. She showed constant dedication to the success of her students by always pushing us to learn more about a topic and supporting us with extra sessions. She always made sure the environment of our class was comfortable for us to ask questions and participate, but she also knew how to be strict about other aspects such as punctuality and homework. At the start of the second year I was struggling with the 25 marker essays and averaged a score of 7-8 but with her help and her motivating me, I was able to push through and average around 17-20 before the period of the exams.

Amarah Cassamsha - Year 13 Student
Her lessons are clear and informative; interactive and well-structured. With particular focus on the 25 mark essays where I struggled to pick up marks, Aarti was able to help me plan and construct essays relevant to the mark-scheme by having me undertake and practice timed ‘mock’ essay titles. Using this to identify my weak areas such as linking importance of particular biological concepts to the essay title; she took me through a step by step, ‘how-to’ process whilst providing me with productive feedback. Under her guidance and supervision, 25 mark essays became second nature and this definitely boosted my confidence as a student. A-level biology is a complex subject with a heavy workload; studying under Aarti however meant that ‘complex’ became simple and the ‘heavy workload’ became manageable and paced revision. As a university student now undertaking a healthcare degree where A-level biology knowledge is crucial, I am both proud and grateful to have studied under Aarti.

Aarti has helped me to understand the hardest topics in A-Level Biology and how to apply my knowledge in exams. Her teaching is high quality and interesting. Aarti's support has helped me achieve success in exams, especially in the 25-mark essay in which she elevated my marks massively through her patience and professionalism. She has shown me how to write in the most productive and fruitful way for marks. Aarti's teaching methods and advice are invaluable and necessary. This has all lead me to surpassing my expectations in A-Level Biology and I have no hesitation in recommending her to another student.

Parisha Gohel - Year 13 Student
Aarti has been one of the best Biology teachers I have had. Aarti’s passion for teaching Biology has been evident over the past two years, as she has been able to help me understand many difficult topics, by carefully going through them in class, and if need be, in revision workshops. I have always found that if I didn’t understand a question or topic, I’ve been able to approach Aarti, who would then try to explain it in various ways until I understood it. As Aarti is an examiner, she has an in-depth knowledge of what exam questions are specifically asking for, and therefore she has been able to share this with her students. By doing so, I feel I have been able to analyse exam questions with confidence, using Aarti’s advice and feedback on how to tackle certain exam-style questions. In addition to exam-style questions, I have been able to develop my 25 mark essays through lessons and workshops dedicated to this part of the exam. Aarti has been able to give critical and specific feedback on 25 mark essays that have been set for homework, which students could then use in their next essay to improve. If she felt that the whole class was struggling on a particular title for the essay, Aarti would take time to go through topics, and how to structure paragraphs, in her very helpful revision workshops. I personally feel that Aarti has always tried to go above and beyond for her students, through her extra resources, workshops and also by providing resources to aspiring medics, dentists and vets. For example, setting up mock interviews, UCAT leaflets and calling in speakers to motivate her students. In a nutshell, I am very grateful to have been taught by such a passionate, dedicated and intellectual teacher!

I would highly recommend Aarti Lodhia for teaching Biology. I have known her for the past 4 years and have been her student for three years. In those three years I have seen her ability to connect with her students and her talent at teaching simple concepts as well as more complex concepts are commendable. It has been a year since I have left Gateway Sixth Form College and I still remember many of the complicated concepts due to her praiseworthy teaching techniques. She has always motivated me to achieve a grade higher and gave me opportunities to develop myself. Aarti is a hardworking, reliable, and a well-organised teacher, her efforts can be seen in the results of her former students. Due to her calm and friendly nature, she is an approachable person to ask even the silliest question. She pays equal attention to her students and responds to all our queries.

Akshay Pancholi - Year 13 Student
Aarti was my teacher while I was studying A level Biology and has been a great help in getting me to understand Biology. It was clear to see that Aarti knew the content inside out and made concepts that were hard to grasp into something memorable and easy to explain. She knew exactly what the exam board wanted, whether it was key words or sentence structure so I could score the highest marks on longer questions and 25 markers. She regularly gave us essay questions to do and each time, she gave constructive criticism so I could score higher on my next essay. She is by far the best science teacher I have had and I'm sure whoever she tutors will benefit tremendously from her help.

Arti Kalyan - Year 13 Student
Aarti was my A-level biology teacher for nearly two years. Her lessons were always enjoyable as well as very productive. Biology is my favourite subject and I’m so glad I had her as my teacher for both years to make my experience with A-level biology a pleasant one. Aarti knew which methods to use to help us understand different concepts and if there was anything we didn’t fully understand then she would take her time to explain it until we understood. As an examiner, she knew what we needed for our 25 marker essays and how to answer different types of exam questions. She helped us by using this knowledge and showing us different exam techniques for the different types of questions and by dedicating time for us to learn how to write the 25 mark essays to a top standard. Aarti was always willing to dedicate her time to help us with various revision workshops, encouraging us to approach her whenever we need help during our free time and by consistently giving us thorough feedback on our classwork and homework to help us understand how we can improve. She would also provide extra resources, such as more exam questions, when we ask for them and she would always try to motivate us to do our best. Not only was she a great teacher in terms of her teaching methods and subject knowledge, she was also a great teacher because she cared about us. It was evident that she cared because she took the time to learn where we were struggling with the subject and help us improve on those things by giving us advice or showing us more effective ways to do it. Her commitment to teaching and has inspired me to hopefully be a teacher like her one day and I know she definitely helped other students decide what they want to do, such as the aspiring medical students, by inviting guests in to speak about the field and helping with the interview process. I am grateful to have been taught by her because I have never met another teacher who dedicates themselves as much as she did to help us with our education.

Adam Aswat - Year 13 Student
As a teacher Aarti was very helpful and approachable when we students needed help. She also provided resources (PowerPoints, exam questions, mark schemes) on online websites such as Moodle and also provided after school workshops in order to further our knowledge on certain areas that as a class we were not keen on (25 markers and topics in general). The classes had a well organised and structural routine where we would also be engaged during the teaching by asking questions and also doing group activities which would enhance our teamwork skills. This in turn ensured that we were always focused and that we weren't switched off.
